Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso Specification and Price
Touring Superleggera is presented in Geneva with the world premiere of the Berlinetta Lusso, custom-built based on the F12 and developed valuing the heritage of Ferrari 166 MM Inter signed by Carlo Felice Bianchi Anderloni, son of the founder and owner of Happy Body until 1966.
Top car Milan. Developed according to the instructions of the head of design Louis de Fabribeckers (known for the Alfa Romeo Disco Volante awarded in 2013 to the Concours d’Elegance Villa d’Este) and built entirely in-house at the site of Terrazzano Rho (very close to Milano), the new Berlinetta Lusso is the first in a series limited to five copies. Born from the request of a Ferrari collector, who addressed the Touring asking to draw a three volumes based on their F12berlinetta, this reinterpretation (approved) is inspired by the golden age of Italian body.
A line “historic”. Long 4693 mm, width 2080, 1,295 high with a wheelbase of 2,715 mm, the Berlinetta Lusso is larger than the original model, revised in an important and which are essentially left only the headlights. The bonnet is long, while the edge that cuts the body over the entire length is due precisely to the “feature line” which marks the side of the draft Bianchi Anderloni, become one of the styles of the strengths of the company: the line pure and simple beat the front wheel arch, following the side and stops only when it meets the muscular rear end. For painting Touring chose the blue Nioulargue, taken in conjunction with the cream inside. The result is a decidedly vintage feel.
Mechanics unchanged. Touring made no changes to either the engine (the V12 6262 cc and 740 hp) or the spaceframe chassis F12 berlinetta, which has been kept in its mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment. Touring explains that he used twelve different aluminum alloys (some for the first time in the automotive sector) and different technologies for assembly and connection of components: the result is a weight reduced to 1,525 kg and a torsional rigidity increased by 20%. To achieve the body we used a mix of hand-beaten aluminum panels and carbon fiber: it was used for the bonnet, bumper, front splitter, side skirts, rear hatch and rear extractor profile, studying thickness and orientation of fibers to get the best weight-rigidity. Each element in the CFRP (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer) is produced by vacuum infusion to 120 degrees.
Call for Price. The Touring Superleggera Berlinetta Lusso took more than 5,000 hours of skilled labor among artisans and engineers: before being approved for road use, the car was checked with static and dynamic tests, following a specific protocol. As for performance, Touring does not deviate from the original estimating a maximum speed of 340 km / h and acceleration 0-100 of 3.1 seconds. The price of the Berlinetta Lusso is on demand, while the delivery of the complete car is fixed at six months of receipt of the donor base car, whose price starts from 276.668 euro.
