2015 Volkswagen Sharan Specs, Prices and Features
Prices start at 32,000 euros for the 1.4 TSI with the fuel-saving technology BlueMotion Technology. The cheapest diesel is the 2.0 TDI SCR for 33,475 euros. Thus, the basic prices are almost the same, although all engines have been revised sharply. The two new TSI Otto afford 150 and 220 hp, the most powerful petrol engine thus gets an extra cost of 20 horsepower. From the shelf three new diesel aggregates come with 115 hp as usual, then we continue with 150 PS (plus ten hp) and 184 PS (plus seven PS). Except for the entry-level diesel engines all with the six-speed dual clutch gearbox (DSG) can be combined, the 220-horsepower gasoline engine has the DSG as standard. A four-wheel drive is only available in conjunction with the 150-horsepower diesel. The fuel thirst was curbed at all units, according to VW, there are up to 15 percent less.
Multicollision brake and Auto-Hold function
Among the small but important visual changes include a revised instrument clusters, differently designed steering wheels and new LED taillights. More has been done for it in secret: Every Sharan now comes already factory-fitted with a so-called multi-collision brake. You brakes automatically after an accident, if the driver himself can no longer intervene. In addition, an electric parking brake with Auto Hold function already belongs to the standard equipment.
